It’s a good game, it was running smoothly until I hit year 1801. Now everytime I want to go to the next turn it freezes

This game is great and I have logged 300+ hours on my pc but I wanted to have it on my MBA as well for vacations and airport boredom. The version on the Mac will start to crash after atleast your 4th campaign in the year 1780, it will continue to do this no matter how many campaigns you start. There is currently NO resolution to this bug from iTunes support, Steam, or Total War themselves. Buy at your own risk as this game has many bugs and iTunes suuport is very hesitant to work with you on this issue.

It gets close to finishing install then freezes the living crap out of my computer.

it plays great for the first few weeks but after that the game crashes. with that in mind, the first few weeks gets a 4, after that it gets a 1. If you are looking to spend $40 to play it for a few weeks then buy the game and enjoy, if you want to play it for as long as you want 2 months after you buy it, don’t because youll be disappointed.

This game is amazing. Besides some dissapointing features (like having to modify the game files to put the graphics above medium without a 512mb graphics card) but there is a lot of pros. However, it just isn’t as fun as RTW is, and that game is cheaper! The range focused combat isn’t fun to watch, and the meele combat is disappointing. Consider your purchase, but it is a very fun game on it’s own.

This was the best strategy game until Shogun 2 and Rome 2 were released for mac. The game gives a little too much power to line infantry and not enough to cavlary. It is not as exciting as other games in the series because it is primarily ranged warfare with the exception of a few epic bayonet charges. Every city looks exactly the same. Also siege battles are not the best working thing in the world. It is still a decent game but it could have been VERY good game. I would suggest Rome 2 or Shogun 2 over it though. I still waiting for a medieval 2 game for apple though. Medieval 2 was the best game of the total war series.

This is a great game, but I preffer to play on steam since I have acesses to a much larger comunity and a better way to mod and such. If anyone knows how to port this to steam that would be great.

Great game; however, it recently started quitting unexpectedly every time that I press the turn button, hopefully a new update will fix this...

Any help? After i hit play on the first pop up of windows, it just stays blank. Nothign happens, I love these games but why is it not working Running 10.10 OSX, 4gb mem, 2.4 ghz 1 tb

Ive always loved this series but hated the fact it was never compatible with mac, well…. those days are gone…

When I went to launch this game, the menu popped up and I hit play, but nothing happened for 5 minutes. I forced quit the app, and launched it again and the same thing happened. I even tried uninstalling it and downloading it again but got the same result. I’m running it on OSX 10.10.1. Don’t even spend money on this.

Shortest review ever: If you have made the decision the world now regrets and downloaded OS X Yosemite, you will not be able to launch this game. Period. I rated the game 5 stars based on how badly I wanted to play it.

I bought this game last year, but it won’t let me download becuase it says “not enough disk space” but I have a brand new laptop with over 100gigs free. Fix this glitch!!!

Truly amazing for fans of strategy games although it does require patience and cunning.

Have a Mb pro, 2.8ghz, 16gb of mem and 512 ssd, intel iris 1536mb. Based on description, it should handle the game, but keeps crashing!

I purchased Empire: Total War but it won’t install. So i’ve been charged for the game but cannot play it. Anyone know what’s wrong?

I tryed to buy the game but it would not work for whatever resaon when i clicked download it just wouldent download it said empire total war gold edition failed to down load. There goes my money. It looks fun but it wont download on to the OS X yosemite DONT BUY WASTE OF MONEY!. I love the total war edition but for some reson this wont work thanks a lot.

Face it…if you get the error that says “An error has occurred, use the purchase page to install again,” the game is not going to work, so just request a refund.
