Great game, but I really wish that they had Mac supported M-Player servers up for this…I was looking forward to playing online.

Love this game, great graphics, gam play, and strategy. i have allways been a fan of total war would love to see medieval and rome 2 possibly shogun total war games added to the total war collection on mac, i would deffinetly by all of them.

I will be honest with you and say that this game is really fun. Can get boring after a while, but the good thing about this game is that it has superb graphics. I prefer more updated maps with hills and a lot more forest and also a combined sea and land battle

This game is terrible. It fails to explain how to play it. You will quickly be squinting at tiny text and tiny icons that are not explained, trying to understand what youre supposed to be doing. The "helpful" hints encourage you to take certain actions without ever explaining how to do them. You will quickly spend a lot of time looking through many pages of lists and boxes of info with little or no guidance. The realtime battles are impossible at sea and only so-so on land. The units are very difficult to control and rarely do what you want them to. The cannon on the field do not seem to move at all. You spend your time trying to herd your stupid ants into proper formations and lines. On the turn based map you will spend most of your time watching the various computer controlled factions move back and forth with no particular purpose. There are many factions (way too many) and you are only one. So when you end your turn go and make a sandwich or do your laundry because the computer will go through the rest one by one with no apparent purpose. Im deaply disappointed because Ive heard good things about the Total War franchise, but this game is awful.

Its one of the best games Ive ever played. I wonder If they will have Rome 2 and shogun on the macs.

Game started to freez several times per hour, making it unplayable. Used to work well...

What is this… Whenever I try to start the match the game just crashes down. Where is the update for this?

I had been holding off on buying this game for a mac for sometime because of the reviews mentioning bugs, I finally decided to cave and give it a go because I absolutely love any total war game especially empire. However I must say I am completely dissapointed, and rather upset. Beeing 76 turns into my grand campaign the game crashed after I ended my turn, now whenever I try and end a turn from multiple save points the game crashes… This isnt my only complaint. I will never understand why games sold from the app store are exclusive to only mac vs mac multiplayer but dont expect to enjoy any since the player base on macs for online play is non-existant. I will gladly change my review if problems are addressed but as of now Im warning you to go back to playing any blizzard game or league of legends.

This game is fun… if it works i mean it did work for me and the game play was a bit well wierd but fun nun the less but…. if you are looking for a total war game go for rome total war 3x better and if you uninstal it will probably not delete its self bye the way it did for me and so there 40 dollars down the drain i wanted to play the game signed into my account and BOOM it was gone… Some help would be nice i would still with all the screw up to play the game any help please

This is a game for someone who must avoid stress and has LOTS of time to play it. It moves very, very slowly. Everything you do takes time, way too much play time waiting for actions to complete. It loads and runs just fine on my latest/greatest Macbook Pro. There’s NO indication at all that the game is being held back by hardware; I feel sure that it would run the same on a top-end Mac Pro. It just moves slowly, everything moves slowly. Tell a unit of soldiers to move “over there”, and sit back and have a coffee while they do it. Tell two units to attack each other, and write a letter to the folks back home while they get themselves together and go at it. (And yes, I am double-clicking when that helps.) I’m a veteran of well over a hundred hours playing a game called Age of Empires on the PC a few years ago. I thought this would be very similar, but the experience is made quite different by the glacial progress of many actions in the game. Glad I only paid $12 for it; after a couple of hours I’m bored and done with it.

Game doesn’t work on a mac book pro running El Capitan. It used to work but not anymore.

Paid $60 for this game, did my el capitan update and now the game doesnt open. never getting one of these games again!

download takes nearly 12 hours. i played 2 times and it was crash both !! give my money back burglars!!

You will love this game if you like watching paint dry… Ive been waiting forever for it to download.

This game sucks… I try to play campaign on my mac, but i cant move my units cause I dont have a computer with a right click… + Plus the battle controls are WAY to slow, having to hold down "w" forever trying to get it to go to the correct position. Can you add a setting that has all movement controls to be "control+left click" to speed things up a little and make the game less unbearable……… :P Over all… HUGE waste of money.
